A homeowner purchased a property several years ago, and unbeknownst to them and their lawyer a Planning Act violation occurred at the time of purchase. When the insureds recently sold the property the violation was discovered by the new purchasers’ lawyer, threatening to derail the sale.

Thankfully, the homeowners had a TitlePLUS policy with Legal Service Coverage. TitlePLUS retained counsel to repair the violation and covered the costs of the delayed closing for both parties.
